With just a hint of a visible cabinet surrounding the drawers, the Loop Dresser (2020) defies logic, especially when you interact with it and discover its sturdy construction. The frame is slim, but not quite as slim as it appears from the front, where it’s been “stepped back,” or tapered, to create the appearance of thinness without sacrificing durability. Loop is the work of Rotterdam-based designer and Earnest Studio founder Rachel Griffin, who credits the consistent proportions of the drawers with giving this collection a pleasing visual cadence.
